Hannah Thukral is Data Science Major with an English minor who graduated in 2023. Hannah is deeply interested in the intersection of language and technology, and the ethics of Large Language Models. They were a member of the MI Diaries Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) last summer doing sociolinguistic research on language variation at Michigan State. On campus, she is the Residential Fellow of Mandelle Hall, and works as Peer Mentor in the Speaking, Arguing, and Writing (SAW) Center. They were co-chair of HackHolyoke, Mount Holyoke’s annual Hackathon from 2021-2022. In her free time, Hannah enjoys reading and writing television criticism, and learning to crochet.
